Aperol Spritz Recipe
Light, sparkling and gently bittersweet, an Aperol Spritz makes an inviting welcome drink for weddings, corporate events and private celebrations. Its three-part build is easy to remember, while the vivid orange color brings a cheerful touch to a summer patio or an indoor reception.
Ingredients
- 3 oz prosecco
- 2 oz Aperol
- 1 oz soda water
- Ice
Steps
- Fill a large wine glass generously with ice.
- Pour in the prosecco, then add Aperol.
- Top with soda water and give the drink one gentle stir to combine without losing too much fizz.
Glass:
Large wine glass or stemmed balloon glass
Garnish:
Orange slice
Serving it at your event
For 10 servings, chill 30 oz prosecco, 20 oz Aperol and 10 oz soda water separately. For the best sparkle, build each drink to order: add ice, pour 3 oz prosecco and 2 oz Aperol, then finish with 1 oz soda. If service is fast, pre-measure the prosecco and Aperol in a cold batch and add soda as each glass is poured; do not add ice to the batch. Give Us A Shot can serve spritzes from its Single Tap Cart, a stainless mobile bar cart with a built-in tap and drop-in ice chest.
Zero-proof variation
For each serving, pour 3 oz chilled alcohol-free sparkling wine, 2 oz bitter orange aperitif alternative and 1 oz soda water over ice in a large wine glass. Stir gently and garnish with an orange slice. If your aperitif alternative is especially sweet, add a squeeze of fresh lemon to bring the drink closer to the bright, bittersweet character of the original.
Set out water and a clear zero-proof option so every guest can choose what suits them, and encourage responsible enjoyment.
